Fun Athens Engagement Session | Rach & Gabe

When you have a couple that includes a fellow wedding photographer, you know you are going to have so much fun with their Athens engagement session! Rachel and her boyfriend Gabe have been together for seven years, so to celebrate, they had a couples session. I love it when couples have photoshoots just because – you don’t need a huge life event to have portraits taken! You can have photos to celebrate every little moment in life – from a new puppy to an anniversary to just because.

The couple lives in Athens, Georgia, so we chose to start at the UGA North Campus. This part of the campus has some beautiful spots, with lots of areas we can use. Plus, since they brought their little pup Ellie, they got to really run around and have fun! But the coolest spot is the top of the parking deck. I LOVE when clients are willing to try new and unique spots – and this parking deck was perfect! We got to have gorgeous views of campus, plus the best sunset shots.

When working with my couples, I am all about having fun and organic movements. I know you can be nervous in front of the camera – so don’t worry. I give prompts! My promos and poses will help make you feel more relaxed, and comfortable. I also suggest that my couples move around. Standing stiff is no fun! Rach and Gabe danced, jumped around for their couple’s session, and had so much fun. And it shows in every single image!
