Step one- Book an Inquiry Call
Since our process is unique, I love to first chat with you to get to know you better and to thoroughly explain what makes our experience special. Once booked, you will receive complimentary wardrobe styling + access to our curated Client Wardrobe, plus a prep guide so you know exactly what to do and bring. Our experience is full service + we anticipate every need, saving you time so that you can focus on those that you love.

Step two- Your Newborn Session
Because I want to make every new mama FEEL as beautiful as I know she is, complimentary hair + makeup is included! Choose the perfect, most flattering dress from my Client Wardrobe so that you feel your best, allowing you to focus on your baby. My sessions are relaxed and baby-led, meaning I gently guide you into the most flattering poses, all while honoring your baby’s cues. My stress-free sessions allow for the timeless and sentimental images you crave! As your Athens newborn photographer, every detail is handled so you can simply be present.

Step three- Your Reveal & Artwork Appointment
Your Reveal & artwork appointment is scheduled 2–3 weeks after your session, when you will get to view your images for the first time and order the artwork you would like to have in your home. Bonus: you get me to design everything for you, taking the guesswork out of the process. With our state-of-the-art design software, we create gallery designs right on your very own walls so you can see exactly how things will look! Clients are raving about this personalized service!

Step four- Receive Your Products
8 weeks after your Reveal, your beautiful products are in! Depending on your location, products will be mailed, scheduled for pick-up or hand delivered. Gallery wall installation is even available for local clients!

Newborn sessions are best scheduled within the first 14 days after birth, when babies sleep deeply and curl naturally into poses. Very little. Izzy + Co provides access to a Client Wardrobe for for both parents and siblings, and the studio is fully stocked with wraps for your baby. You will receive a detailed prep guide after booking that covers everything – what to bring, how to feed before arrival, and how to prepare your baby for sleep.
What if my baby cries the whole time?
Please don’t worry—this is one of the most common concerns new parents have, and it is never a problem. Newborn sessions are designed to move at your baby’s pace, with plenty of time for feeding, cuddling, soothing, and breaks whenever needed. Some babies sleep soundly, some prefer to be held, and some need a little extra comfort—and all of that is completely normal. As an experienced Athens newborn photographer, I approach every session with patience, flexibility, and calm energy. We follow your baby’s cues every step of the way, and often the sweetest images come from those in-between moments of snuggling, rocking, and simply loving on your baby.
Will I feel ready to be photographed so soon after having a baby?
So many mothers wonder this—and the answer is yes, with support. Those early postpartum days can feel tender, emotional, and exhausting, which is exactly why our newborn sessions are designed to care for you, too. Sessions include professional hair and makeup so you can feel refreshed, pampered, and confident in front of the camera. And you never need to stress about what to wear—our extensive Client Wardrobe is filled with flattering, timeless pieces chosen specifically for mothers in this season of life. As an Athens newborn photographer, I believe caring for mama is just as important as photographing baby. For mothers recovering from a C-section, many choose to schedule their newborn session slightly later to allow for additional healing and comfort.
Is newborn photography safe for my baby?
Absolutely. As a mother myself and an experienced newborn photographer, your baby’s comfort and safety are always my highest priority. I have gently worked with countless newborns over the years and approach every session with patience, calmness, and the utmost care. I am fully vaccinated, the studio is thoroughly cleaned before every session, and everything baby touches is handled with cleanliness in mind. Sessions are entirely baby-led, meaning we always follow your baby’s cues. If a baby is not comfortable with a pose or setup, we never force it—we simply adjust, soothe, and move in a way that keeps baby safe, content, and cared for.
Are dogs welcome at the studio?
Yes! Dogs are absolutely welcome in the studio and make for the most heartwarming family portraits. Please let us know in advance that you’ll be bringing your pup so we can prepare the space and schedule accordingly.
