What is an Heirloom Portrait?
An Heirloom Portrait is a timeless, fine-art portrait of your child featuring classic posing, a soft expression, sculpted studio lighting, and a signature vignette that gently fades around the child. The result is a refined, traditional portrait created specifically to be printed, framed, and passed down for generations.

What ages are best for heirloom portraits?
 These sessions are traditionally done for children between 8 months and 8 years old, with the classic baby look captured between 10 - 18 months.  However, we welcome and encourage older children!

Can you photograph more than one child?
Absolutely. Each 10-minute session is designed for one child. Siblings will each need their own back-to-back appointment so we have time to create an individual heirloom portrait of each child, plus portraits of the siblings together. Additional children are $75 each.

What should my child wear?
Classic, traditional pieces photograph beautifully—think smocking, embroidery, delicate collars, ribbons, christening gowns, and vintage or European-inspired clothing in soft, neutral tones. Natural fibers such as cotton and linen are ideal. You’ll receive our complete Prep Guide after booking.

Do you provide heirloom clothing?
Yes. We have a small, curated Heirloom Wardrobe available for boys and girls in select sizes from 6 months–6 years. Please contact us before your session to confirm sizing and availability.

Does my session include digital files or artwork?
Artwork and images are purchased separately at your Reveal & Artwork Ordering Appointment. Because these sessions are created specifically with the finished heirloom in mind, the purchase of at least one piece from our Signature Heirloom Collection is required. Artwork begins at $1400.

What happens after my session?
You’ll return to the studio for your Reveal & Artwork Ordering Appointment, where you’ll see your finalized portraits for the first time. I’ll help you choose your favorites and design the perfect heirloom artwork for your home. All artwork selections and payment are completed during this appointment.

What makes the artwork heirloom quality?
Our Signature Heirloom Collection is handcrafted using museum- and conservation-quality materials chosen for beauty and longevity. Select solid-wood mouldings are finished with genuine gold leaf delicately applied by hand, creating a piece intended to endure for generations.

Can I purchase smaller frames for grandparents?
Yes! Petite gold-leaf tabletop frames in both oval and rectangular styles are available as companion pieces with the purchase of a Signature Heirloom. They’re perfect for grandparents—or for another portrait from your session you simply can’t leave behind.

How often will Heirloom Portrait Events be offered?
Our Heirloom Portrait Event will return just twice each year, making these limited studio dates a special opportunity to continue—or begin—a portrait tradition for your family.
