Kelly & Andrew | Beaulieu Wedding

March 23, 2021

This was my first wedding post-Covid shutdowns. I’m actually good friends with Kelly’s brother, and we used to bank with her momma, so it was really fun to shoot Kelly and Andrew’s wedding and hang out with her family. I’d already done their engagement session at the Beaulieu Plantation, so it was great to be able to come back for their Beaulieu Plantation wedding.

Sentimental Details

This wedding had many sentimental elements, especially for the bride, because many women have gotten married at this house and property. She got ready in the living room, and she covered the room with wedding photos of all the women in her family! They also did the burying of the bourbon tradition and left by boat after their sparkler exit. Another special element was the bridesmaid’s bouquet, which was made by her bridesmaid! It was so big and gorgeous with anemones, garden roses, and lots of greenery.

Beaulieu Plantation Wedding

Beaulieu Plantation is a private family home, but they are looking to start hosting weddings there. So, this is a fun new venue for couples! The Plantation is just south of Savannah on Burnside Island. It comes with water views and, therefore, some gorgeous sunsets. Not to mention, the property has some amazing trees that are just so old and beautiful. Kelly and Andrew actually got married under one of those big trees, which makes sense because you barely need décor when you’ve got a background that beautiful!

It was so great to be a part of Kelly and Andrew’s special day. Their Beaulieu Plantation wedding was so lovely, and I loved being able to hang out with the family. Weddings are just always a joy, and I love getting to be a part of them. It would be great to be a part of yours too! If you’d love to work together, say hello!
