Megan and Justin’s tropical wedding at St. Simons Island The King and Prince beach resort was filled with fun details and lots of laughter. Megan is a talented floral designer and did all of the flowers herself. As a result, her bouquet was amazing! Her bouquet had large palm leaves, king protea, roses and red calla lilies, which made it so unique. As a matter of fact, I love a bride who isn’t afraid to be different with her color palette and flowers! She had the bouquet wrapped in black and white striped ribbon, with pictures of family members she wanted to be close to her on her wedding day.
Their wedding took place at The King and Prince beach resort on St. Simons Island, which is right on the beach and has gorgeous ocean views. Megan and Justin were all smiles, all day. I love how much fun they had, you can see them laughing in so many of their pictures! As a wedding photographer, nothing is better than true, laughing, and endless smiling love.
The wedding ceremony was right on the beach on St. Simons Island, and guests were encouraged to take off their shoes and enjoy the perfect ocean backdrop. After, the reception took place steps away on the oceanfront lawn, where guests could take in the ocean breeze while dancing the night away. With such a beautiful setting, Megan kept the décor minimal. For thedécor, she focused on greenery and metallic accents, including copper lanterns. The couple also had one of the coolest guest books I have seen – a surfboard!
As a St. Simons Island wedding photographer, I love being able to capture beachside weddings, especially at sunset. After dinner, Megan and Justin took advantage of the incredible sunset to get some portraits taken. If you are getting married on St. Simons Island, I would love to be a part of your beach wedding!
