Last year I had an amazing opportunity to photograph a styled shoot for The Celebration Society with some of the best wedding vendors in the lowcountry.  This Palmetto Bluff wedding editorial brings you some classic Southern details with clever oyster shell decor ideas.  You’ll find the prettiest Spring bouquets, luxurious tablescapes, a bourbon bar cart and the cutest pup.

An oversized bouquet plus sparkly jewelry from Kendra Scott completed our bride’s elegant look.  Our groom kept it classic with a black tuxedo.

When hosting a southern wedding, the details matter – a lot. Set your special day apart from the rest with signature touches that make your wedding a reflection of yourselves or the area in which you are marrying.  For example, these invitations were customized with hand painted illustrations of the iconic chapel at Palmetto Bluff.  Add extra special details like watercolor marsh liners for the envelopes and elegant hand lettered addresses.

Our Palmetto Bluff wedding takes place in the beautiful chapel on the property.  Sebrell Smith decorated it perfectly, lining the steps with lanterns, greenery and oyster shells.

Consider using bicycles for a cute entrance or exit, they make for adorable photos!

The chapel can also host a small reception.  The white walls and huge windows give the space a bright, airy feel.  Anchor your decor with a heavy greenery & floral garland.  Then, have it reach the floor for a luxurious display.

Tuck oyster shells into your garlands and centerpieces for an element of surprise!

Inspired by the colors of the marsh, A Squad Bake Shop created a dreamy white and gray wedding cake.  Most noteworthy are the incredible sugar flowers!

For your cocktail hour, create a cozy lounge area.  Also, treat your guests to a beautiful bourbon bar cart.  Extra points if there’s a cute pup to play with!
