When photographing an engagement session, I love when a couple chooses a spot that is unique and meaningful to them. Roxy and Brett wanted their session to show off the bridge where they were engaged and their passion for biking! Ever since they started dating, Roxy and Brett would stop on this bridge to take selfies before moving on. A romantic spot on the water in Beaufort, Sc. As a Beaufort Engagement Photographer, this made me happy. These little photo-ops would become a staple throughout the entirety of their dating relationship. Stopping whenever passing by, solely to get a quick photo with one another. One day, on a stop no different than many of the others the couple had shared since the beginning, Brett surprised Roxy with a proposal on that very bridge! Family and friends waited underneath to surprise them and celebrate the engagement. It was a beautiful moment that they are likely to remember for the rest of their lives.
Since this area is so special for them, I wanted to commemorate the location and the proposal. So, it was so nice to be able to return there for their engagement pictures! Roxy and Brett met through a group of mutual friends when they were at a park. Not only was Brett friendly and flirty with Roxy, but he also paid attention. That night Brett got her number from a friend and texted her way past her bedtime. But it was all worth it! They now share their life together with their 3 dogs and 2 cats. (Roxy practices animal medicine, so the more pets the merrier!)
Roxy and Brett will be celebrating their big day this June at the Tybee Island Wedding Chapel. They are excited about this new adventure! They have brought on Crystal at Tara Skinner Events to help them plan their big day, and I can’t wait to photograph it! The Tybee Island Wedding Chapel is such a beautiful venue, close to the beach, and with a huge romantic chapel for the ceremony.
