Take Southern traditions like bourbon, antique wedding rings, lace, bow ties and letterpress and you add an amazingly fun, down to earth and inspiring couple – you get a wedding that is not only elegant, steeped in tradition and so super stinking sweet but also a backyard party that is cozy and laid back – until you break out the pickle backs and you get just the right amount of rowdy :)
Most elements of the day, like the florals, cake & custom Satchel koozies, were a labor of love – giving proof to their amazing support system of friends and family. The day started with getting ready at Elizabeth’s parent’s beautiful waterfront home.
Elizabeth and Jolly both wear antique wedding rings from great-grandparents, each inscribed with their initials and wedding dates. Elizabeth carried a custom Satchel bag covered in lace from her wedding dress.
Meanwhile, the guys prepped at the most adorable Southern Hotel in Covington.
Elizabeth wanted to make sure she and Jolly could have a moment together before walking down the aisle. She was sneaky and brought the bourbon – because as we all know, a couple that drinks bourbon together, stays together, teehee!
Elizabeth and Jolly chose the gorgeous, historic Saint Joseph Abbey for their ceremony.
For the reception, Elizabeth’s parents property was scattered with gorgeous white floral arrangements, candles, delicious Southern fare, firepits and warm plaid blankets for guests to stay warm.
Elizabeth & Jolly – Oh my goodness THANK YOU for having me and Martin there, not only to document your spectacular wedding but also as friends and guests. We think you’re pretty rad and we love you!
