Stevens Family | Family Session in Savannah

Back in May, I had a Mother’s Day Portrait Session Giveaway, and Melanie was one of the winners! She decided to use her session for her children, and it turned out to be one of my favorite children’s sessions. We used Bluff Drive as our backdrop for this family session in Savannah. Bluff Drive is a gorgeous, waterfront community, and it was a great area for a coastal family session.

Melanie’s sweet kids had so much fun. When photographing kids, I love to capture them just as they are. If they’re goofy, running around, or just hanging out, it makes for some great photos and allows them to feel comfortable with me. These two kids were full of energy, and they had so much fun climbing around their yard and running around. I just loved it when they held hands! I also made sure to get a few portraits of mom and dad. It’s important to include them!

Custom Kids Gallery

This family session in Savannah went so well, and I really wanted to commemorate it. When creating their custom gallery wall, I just loved a mix of black and white with color! For their living space, I proposed black and white portraits of the two kiddos. This really matches with any living room color scheme, and it’s so timeless! These are images that will be gorgeous in their home for many years to come.

For their bedroom, I wanted to focus on pops of color. I chose one close-up for the center image and two portraits on either side. One of my favorite pictures from the session were the two kids jumping!
