You may remember Carla and Justin from one of the most fun engagement sessions I’ve done. Both love the outdoors, so we met at Stone Mountain for a camping inspired session full of silliness and giggles. It poured on us but we had the best time ever. I had completely fallen in love with Carla and Justin. This coupled with the fact that they were having a Vinewood Plantation wedding, meant that I REALLY couldn’t wait until wedding day. Well, as luck would have it, it poured on us again. But we still had the best time ever!
At the time, Carla worked in the fashion industry. So I knew she would have an amazing bridal look. Her Liancarlo gown did not disappoint, with its gorgeous lace sleeves and dreamy neckline. Even though outside was dreary, the girls kept their bellies warm with bottomless mimosas. The sweetest detail was the locket with her grandparents’ photos that Carla carried on her bouquet.
The guys looked classic in their black tie tuxedos and personalized pocket watches. We took advantage of a break in the rain for a few quick portraits on the gorgeous property before running back inside for more bourbon!
One advantage to a Vinewood Plantation wedding is the house on the property. It boasts a beautiful porch, perfect for the girls portraits. I have to say, I do love a bridal party all in white!
Even though the ceremony was originally intended to be outside, the barn created a warm, romantic atmosphere for Carla and Justin to say “I do.”
Carla had visited Vinewood Plantation years before she was even dating Justin and she knew at that moment that this would be her wedding venue one day. When she brought Justin here, he immediately agreed. They both loved the beauty and elegance the property offered.
They kept the reception decor simple and rustic, using greenery garlands, wooden table numbers and hand lettered name cards.
The focus was on creating a cozy atmosphere and providing their guests with a delicious meal reflective of their favorite things: Tex Mex and margaritas!
As nights with Carla and Justin often end, their wedding culminated in a late night jam session, complete with hot cocoa and s’mores!
