Amy & Jeff | Palmetto Bluff Wedding

Amy and Jeff got married at Montage at Palmetto Bluff, which is one of the most gorgeous venues in Low Country! It’s in between Hilton Head and Savannah, so it’s the perfect little getaway for a local wedding. The couple chose a Palmetto Bluff wedding because the venue holds a special place in their hearts – it’s where Jeff proposed! They were at a nice dinner, and before they ate, Jeff walked her around the property and showed her the chapel and dock. They walked out to the beautiful pier, and that is where he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Their ceremony took place at the May River Chapel, which is one of the cutest in the area. It overlooks the May River, and it has the most gorgeous lighting with its huge arched windows. It’s the perfect little southern Chapel.

For their fall wedding, they chose a color palette of plum, purple, and lavender. The bridesmaids wore purple gowns, and I love how the flowers had touches of purple throughout. The purple accents to the cake made it look so elegant too.

The wonderful thing about the Montage at Palmetto Bluff is that there are so many gorgeous spots for photos. The trees and brick structures make for a great backdrop. Not to mention, there are those gorgeous water views nearby! Plus, we made sure to get some portraits on the exact same dock Jeff proposed on during their wedding!

The couple met online, and their first date was on a Sunday afternoon. Jeff showed up in short shorts, a Hawaiian shirt, large rimmed white sunglasses, and a not so cute mustache. But Amy loved his sense of humor! They chatted all afternoon long over some margaritas. Jeff asked Amy out again, and the rest is history. Their Palmetto Bluff wedding was so full of joy and love, just like their first date, and it was so great to be a part of that. It would be great to be a part of your wedding too!
