You might remember Bryanne and Drew from their incredible and sexy Tybee Island engagement session! This adventurous couple loves the outdoors, so chose to take pictures on the beach, but with an upscale twist (think a sexy red dress and a suit!) As a wedding and engagement photographer, I love when a couple is willing to get creative with their portraits! Bryanne and Drew met while in graduate school at the University of Calgary and instantly bonded over their love of the outdoors. They even got engaged outside! Drew proposed on a skating rink in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Canada.
For their January wedding, they wanted a Downtown Abbey meets the South affair. They chose The Chapel of Our Lady of Good Hope for their ceremony, with a reception at The Olde Pink House. Similarly, both places are historic Savannah icons, with intimate spaces. The Chapel of Our Lady of Good Hope was built in 1874 and was the first Benedictine Monastery in the South. Their ceremony took place in front of their closest family and friends and was filled with so much love. You can see the joy on Bryanne’s face the whole day!
After their ceremony, we took portraits around Downtown Savannah, including in front of their reception venue, The Olde Pink House. The iconic pink façade always makes the best pictures! In fact, The Pink House is the perfect Savannah venue if you want historic features and amazing food. Their reception took place in the main ballroom, which has ornate chandeliers and gold accents. Audrey at The Kings Cottage did the flowers, design, and coordinated the event. The flowers were natural and romantic, with cascading garlands on the fireplace and tables. Thank you, Bryanne and Drew, for letting me apart of your incredible day!
