Whitney and Charles were supposed to get married in March of 2020, which, of course, was right as the pandemic set in and shutdowns were enforced. They then rescheduled their wedding at least three times before they FINALLY were able to have their wedding last Fall. It was worth the wait because their wedding at The Jepson Center was so beautiful and colorful! Plus, in that time, they had a precious baby boy, Owen, so he was able to be involved in their wedding day!
They chose one of the most unique venues in Savannah! The Jepson Center is right downtown, but the cool-modern interior is unlike any other space downtown. The large three-story atrium makes the perfect space for both your ceremony and reception since the floor-to-ceiling windows allow in beautiful light and a view of Telfair Square. I also love the three-story staircase since it makes such a grand entrance!
On Whitney and Charles’ wedding day, it poured all day long. Luckily, The Jepson Center is one of the best venues in Savannah if your wedding day turns out rainy. It’s SO PRETTY, and it has lots of natural light to do portraits inside. We’re always prepared for rain because we want to make sure you get amazing photos regardless of the weather. Luckily, this Savannah venue made it easy this time. The couple also had an amazing wedding planning team, that were able to make changes to the plan and timeline! No matter what size of wedding you have, having a wedding planner is a must. They are not just there to help plan for months before – but are there on the day of to take care of anything that pops up (including rain!).
Because the space in The Jepson Center is all white, pops of color work so well! Whitney and Charles definitely took advantage of this because their colorful flowers worked perfectly in the space. They had orange, purple, pink, and white flowers, including roses and chrysanthemums, mixed in with greenery. This vibrant design was used everywhere from the ceremony to the centerpieces to Whitney’s amazing bouquet. The Jepson Center also has hanging pieces of glass overlooking the ceremony location, and it was the perfect tie-in to the floral designs by Ivory and Beau.
I absolutely love working at The Jepson Center. It really is one of the best and most unique venues in Savannah as Whitney and Charles’ wedding proves. If you’re planning a wedding at The Jepson Center (or anywhere in the Savannah/Atlanta area), we’d love to hear from you! Reach out to us, so we can hear all about your love story and big plans for your day!
