Downtown Denver Engagement Session

Olivia and Jimmy will have their intimate wedding this fall at Sea Island, but they wanted a downtown Denver engagement session. This is only part one of their engagement session too. They had a second engagement session in the snowy mountains, and I can’t wait to share that with you as well. But it was so much fun getting to play with these two downtown and having the chance to visit Denver again!

Downtown Denver Engagement Session

Olivia and Jimmy live in Denver, so they knew all the best spots for a session. They wanted to avoid the super trendy spots in Denver like the Redrocks Amphitheater. One of the options Olivia gave me for beautiful architecture downtown was Byron Courthouse. As soon as I saw it, I fell in love! It has a Parisian feel, with the Neo-Classical architecture, and all marble facade. And the soft robin’s egg blue lanterns added a unique touch of color. knew we would be able to get gorgeous, luxurious-looking images here.

When looking for locations for shoots, I always check out a few things. The first is that it has plenty of natural light. And second, it has interesting lines that can create some editorial-style photos. And third is the color! I love how the crisp white marble of the courthouse really let Olivia and Jimmy take centerstage. I do love pops of color, but there is nothing better than a clean backdrop.

Byron Courthouse Photoshoot

This couple really dressed up for their engagement session! Jimmy wore a black suit complete with a pocket square while Olivia wore an elegant navy dress. They looked so classic together! I love it when couples get dressed up for their session. After all, how many chances do you have to put on a beautiful gown or stylish suit?

We took advantage of the gorgeous columns at the Courthouse to get some amazing photos. Not to mention, the Byron Courthouse has some beautiful windows that make for a great backdrop.

I absolutely love Denver, and oddly, I have many friends there! Now, I have two more! Especially after having so much fun at their downtown Denver engagement session, I can’t wait for Olivia and Jimmy’s wedding in the fall.
