Crystal | Isle of Hope Maternity Session

Crystal used to be a lead designer at Tara Skinner Events, so we’ve worked together for several years. We’ve both been a part of the wedding industry for so long, and we’ve become wonderful friends throughout that time. Now that she has her second baby, she is taking a step back from wedding planning, but we’ve remained close. So, in preparation for her new little one, we did an Isle of Hope maternity session!

Isle of Hope Maternity Session

Isle of Hope is a gorgeous community in Savannah, right on the water. It’s on Bluff Drive, which features historic mansions, massive live oak trees, and some of the best waterway views! It’s one of my favorite spots for portrait sessions.

I love these photos of Crystal so much. She looks so serene and lovely. The color of her dress provides a great contrast with the green background. Between the greens and the water, there were so many great backdrops for her photos. The trees especially frame her in such a beautiful way. Not to mention, it was just a fun afternoon with a great friend!

 Maternity Session Gallery

When working with my sweet clients, I help them through the entire process. This means not just stopping after their images are edited and shown. I take that final step to get those new images to the perfect spot in my clients’ homes. I have a great system that lets you upload a picture of the wall and be able to customize the images so they’re perfect for the space.

For Crystal’s gallery of her Isle of Hope maternity session, I wanted to mix the black and white portraits with color. So, I chose one of my favorite portraits of her for the middle, which is a further out shot that shows off the gorgeous marsh view. On either side, I placed two closer shots that are in color. The soft blue of her dress is so beautiful, and the color works perfectly in the nursery.
