Emilee and Jenkins were married on a sunny winter day, last December, in historic Savannah. Their Harper Fowlkes House wedding, with a reception at Soho South Café, was so gorgeous! Emilee and Jenkins met through her college roommate, who’s now-husband was one of Jenkins best friends. Emilee was working on a fibers project, making a quilt when he came over after going to the beach. The two talked all day, and the rest is history! The couple is so excited to make everything official and spend the rest of their lives together. Jenkins is a Captain in the U.S Army, and the couple is moving to Columbus GA. They love to go hiking together, and do anything outdoors! Jenkins says about Emilee, “She is the most supportive and loving woman I have ever meet.” How sweet is that?!
Their wedding color palette was soft and neutral, with the bridesmaids in soft gray, and the men in navy. Jenkins wore his dress blues, and Emilee wore a stunning lace gown by Essense of Australia. Emilee’s wedding gown was covered in sequined lace, with a beautiful high neckline, and sheer back. Her long cathedral veil was the perfect touch. I love photographing brides in long veils!
Before the ceremony, we walked around historic Savannah, to get bride and groom portraits, as well as the bridal party. The lighting was just perfect, and Savannah was really showing off! The holiday decorations around the squares were the perfect touch to this winter wedding.
Their ceremony took place at Harper Fowlkes House, in their outdoor garden. This venue, in the heart of Savannah, is a Greek Revival mansion, with the most beautiful grounds. The couples flowers, by A To Zinnias, were soft ivories with lots of eucalyptus and greenery. Each aisle had floral aisle markers, with ribbon hanging down. Emilee’s bouquet was filled with silver dollar eucalyptus, ranunculus, garden roses, and ivory flowers.
The reception took place at one of my favorite Savannah venues, Soho South Café! This sweet restaurant looks like an indoor garden, with huge trees and lots of light. Their rustic farm tables were covered in greenery, with brass candles throughout. It was so gorgeous, and the perfect color palette for this venue. Their cake, by The Topiary, was incredible, a three-tier white cake with gold foil and flowers.
Emilee and Jenkins wedding was a sweet and romantic affair, celebrating a couple that has been together for many years, and have so much love for each other. I am so thankful they chose me to photograph their wedding and be a part of their special day! Congratulations, Emilee and Jenkins!
