Film Friday – The leaning tower of Pisa, Italy – Travel Photography

September 4, 2010

In all of the hurry to get packed to leave again and see everyone one last time, I completely forgot about Film Fridays! Tisk tisk! Its 12:45am Saturday so a bit late, but oh well.  This one’s a good one.  When we lived in Spain in 2007, we took a week long vacation with our friend Josh Jarrod and Sean to Rome, Italy.  Well, 5 days in Rome proved to be waaaaaaaaaaay too long so we took a day trip to see the leaning tower in Pisa.  Its pretty awesome to get to see all the things you learned about in school.  Its my favorite part about traveling.  Pisa is a teeny tiny town that only gets attention because the tower has become so infamous.  But theres actually much more to see there – the tower is actually the bell tower of a cathedral that stands right in front of it.  This area is called the  Piazza del Duomo and also houses a Baptistry and a monumental cemetery.  Y’all enjoy!
