I was so excited when Jon contacted me to do a LOVE portrait session with his wife. You see, Jon and Nycole are celebrating their 4 year wedding anniversary and since they got married on a Leap Year, this year is particularly special. This session made me so happy on many levels. I really love when couples invest in photography on special occasions such as an anniversary. So many times couples only have professional photos taken for their wedding, perhaps for their first child but hardly ever just for themselves. Marriage is not easy, it takes commitment and work and every year is worth celebrating and documenting your growth. And I love that Jon is the one that had the brilliant idea of a portrait session – what a smart husband!
Jon and Nycole live in Virginia now but he knew he wanted to bring Nycole down to Savannah, the city he fell in love with while attending the Savannah College of Art and Design to celebrate their anniversary. He and Nycole really love cemeteries so choosing Bonaventure for their Love Session was a no brainer. Apart from the amazing history in this cemetery, Bonaventure is a simply stunning piece of property with Savannah’s gorgeous oak lined lanes and Spanish moss. Savannah is especially pretty this time of year since its in full bloom!
The different monuments offered countless cool locations for photos.
Jon and Nycole are taking Swing dance lessons so they showed off some of their smooth moves for me. I have to admit, I was totally jealous!
Nycole has the sexiest eyes. Period.
I think these are my favorites from the session.
When I commented on how much I loved Nycole’s unique wedding ring, they informed me that they actually have difficulty holding on to their actual rings.
So much so that they decided to get a more permanent symbol of their love – these WAY AWESOME tattoos! These are quite possibly hands down the coolest ever.
But thats probably because Jon & Nycole are quite possibly hands down the coolest :)
Again with the sexy eyes, you’re killing me with your gorgeousness Nycole!
Jon & Nycole – thank you so much for allowing me to take part in your special occasion. Congratulations on four years of marriage! Its apparent, just from hanging out with you for the morning that you are the world to each other. You both are beautiful and I wish you many more years of happiness!!
