This wedding is so special to me! Not only was it in the gorgeous Poconos, but it is my cousin’s wedding! Lena is my sweet cousin, and it was such a huge honor to shoot her wedding. The Pocono Mountains is where my mom is from and is where I spent every major holiday and summer of my childhood. So this place holds a very special place in my heart! I love being able to photograph weddings throughout the country.
Lena and Joe’s Pocono mountain wedding took place on their family farm, the Frantz Family Farm. I have so many memories here, so it was so special! The grounds are huge, so there were so many great spots for the wedding. The ceremony took place on the edge of the property, with hay barrels as the seats. Family quilts padded the benches, which added some fun color. And of course, their sweet pups were included!
After their ceremony, we walked around the grounds to get some portraits of the two cuties! There are gorgeous gardens on the property. And it overlooks the mountains, so the views were amazing! The couple had a tent on the property, so everyone could continue the party steps away from the ceremony!
Lena is so creative, so her wedding was entirely DIY! From the decor to the flowers, this couple did it all. For the colors, they chose a pastel palette of blush and dusty purple. The bridesmaids wore chiffon gowns in a wisteria shade, that tied in the with the groomsmen matching bow ties. The pups even matched the groomsmen! They had on bowties so they were part of the groom’s party.
Rustic elements were throughout, including an old door as the escort display, and a wooden palette held portraits of the couples over the years. Guests enjoyed lawn games, great food, and so much dancing! Congratulations to this sweet couple!
