Mary Brooks and Ernie got married on a sunny day last spring, in Brookhaven, GA! Right outside of Atlanta, this area has gorgeous venues and rolling hills. The couple chose a private home, that allowed them to not just get ready inside, but host the wedding steps away!
The couple chose a cream, blue, blush and yellow color palette, which was great for this spring wedding! Mary Brooks wore a chiffon gown by Essence of Australia, with a lace bridal jacket for a custom touch. Her bridesmaids wore cream tulle skirts with lace tops. I love it when bridesmaids are in separates! It lets the ladies wear the pieces again, and again! Ernie wore a navy blue suit, with a bright yellow bowtie.
Mary Brooks is so talented! Not only did she do her own hair and makeup, but she also did the flowers herself! Using king protea, baby breath, and ranunculus, she made all the bridesmaids and bridal bouquet. For the tables, she went with lots of natural greenery, including eucalyptus! Delicate flowers and Queen Anne’s lace were the final touches, with soft candlelight on the farm tables.
The ceremony took place on the grounds, overlooking a creek. The couple had live musicians do the music, which was perfect as Mary Brooks walked down the aisle. After saying their I Do’s, guests headed to the cocktail hour, while I took the couple around the grounds for portraits. The trees were in bloom, which made such a pretty backdrop! And of course, we made sure to get some pictures with their sweet pups. Happy Anniversary to Mary Brooks and Ernie! Thank you for letting me capture your sweet day!
