I absolutely adore shooting elopements! They are such a sweet moment to photograph. Savannah has so many beautiful spots to photograph elopements in, from the Islands, to Historic Downtown Savannah. Want to know all the reasons you should elope in Savannah? Read my post all about it, here!
Chrissy and Deepak knew they wanted to keep their wedding small, and very personal to them. The couple got ready together, and she even helped him get his bowtie on. Chrissy wore a gorgeous chiffon gown from Reformation, that had the funnest slit (I love a good flow wedding gown!). Her burgundy lip was so perfectly retro. Deepak had a custom suit made, which was the most gorgeous shade of burgundy. I love that he had the lining a fun pattern of flamingos! It was so cool, and such a great suit! And his white feather bowtie from Brackish finished the look perfectly. It was all so perfect for their Whitefield Square Elopement.
Whitefield Square Elopement
The couple chose Whitefield Square for their ceremony, which is a personal favorite of mine. They wrote their own vows to each other and shared a few laughs. It was a perfect moment for the two. After taking portraits downtown, we headed to The Artillery for drinks. This bar is so cool, with its retro decor, gold and brass details, and chartreuse furniture. The two cheers their incredible wedding, and had drinks to celebrate! As Chrissy told me:
“We decided to elope because it just seemed like the most natural thing for us to do. I come from a very large family and the thought of having a big wedding was just so overwhelming and stress-inducing. We wanted a very chill and laid back experience and we really just wanted that time to be together and focused on each other.
The date we chose was the day we met 8 years ago, so we just wanted to spend that special intimate moment with just the two of us. We chose Savannah because it’s so gorgeous (and warmer than Ohio)! I really really loved the oak tree with the Spanish miss and all of the gorgeous architecture. We felt like Savannah really fit our personalities. We had visited once before just for a night (on Halloween, it was so fun!) And we had been wanting to go back so this was the perfect opportunity! We loved our time there, we really honestly did not want to leave.”
