Morgan and Kevin’s Forsyth Park wedding was an incredible celebration of family and love! They both live in Savannah, and wanted to treat their guests to a wedding that showcased the beauty of Savannah, and where they fell in love. Their ceremony took place in front of Forsyth Fountain (one of my favorite places as a Savannah wedding photographer!) and their evening reception took place at the American Legion Ballroom.
From Morgan:
“Kevin and I met in our hometown of Albany, GA. He was a teacher/coach with my mom and taught my little sister. He saw me walk into a basketball game that my sister was playing in, not knowing who I was. Kevin was standing with a man and asked who I was: “Who is that girl wearing the s**t out of those jeans?” To which the man responded: “That’s my daughter”. It took him a couple of weeks to ask me out. I am positive this story will be told a million times on our wedding week!”
After Kevin’s proposal in Panama City Beach, Florida, they got down to planning. They hired Crystal at Posh Petals and Pearls to help make their day perfect. Above all, they wanted to showcase all of the beauty Historic Savannah has to offer. Morgan’s inspiration was clean and romantic, with a boho twist.
One of my favorite features to photograph at their Savannah wedding were the flowers! Their wedding had unique flowers by Amy Harvey from Harvey Designs, which featured one of the hottest trends in weddings: pampas grass! Pampas grass is fun, stylish, and adds incredible texture. It’s great for your wedding bouquets, and centerpieces on your wedding day.
