I recently had the honor to shoot at the Perry Lane Hotel, Savannah’s newest boutique hotel. This gorgeous hotel is perfectly modern, with a dose of southern charm. The hotel features bold colors, that made some incredible backdrops. And one of my favorite parts of the Perry Lane Hotel? The Peregrin! This is an awesome rooftop bar that overlooks Historic Savannah, with some of the most beautiful views you will find around town. As a Savannah wedding photographer, I love being able to shoot in these new spaces and find perfect photo spots for my brides! It gives me the chance to find the perfect shots, that I know my brides will love.
When styling this shoot, Audrey Wagner King at The Kings Cottage wanted to embrace the growing trend of non-white wedding dresses, mixed with some gorgeous fall colors. She chose gowns from BleuBelle Bridal that had non-traditional elements, including some different underlays, and stunning textured laces. And how can I not talk about the first gown, which is navy blue with embroidered details! This gown really is a show stopper.
The hair and makeup by Beyond Beautiful by Heather was perfect, and showed how versatile her talent is. No only did she do some of her signature soft up-dos, but also did some long curls. As a bride, there are so many hair options! When doing styled shoots, I love showing off different looks that a bride can have.
When it came to the flowers, August Floral Design created some breathtaking bouquets. We wanted to play with fall colors, including some neutral pinks and tans, with pops of orange and fun greenery. One of the biggest trends with wedding color palates are apricot orange with soft butter yellows. It gives a hint of peachy – perfect for a southern wedding – with a soft yellow that is unexpected. August Floral Design also made a flower bracelet, one of the newest trends in wedding flowers. These fun bracelets are the perfect alternative for corsages for mom. I am so lucky to have worked with this incredible team of vendors, and hope you love it as much as I do!
