Preslie and Sam had such a cool and fun lifestyle engagement shoot! The couple wanted to keep it personal, so they chose spots that meant a lot to them. First we stopped at Back In The Day Bakery, one of the best places for breakfast in Savannah (seriously, if you haven’t stopped by yet, you have to try it!) The couple love to hang out in coffee shops and reconnect, so it was the perfect start to our day. Back In The Day bakery has gorgeous farm tables, mismatched chairs, and vintage windows that overlook the kitchen. It is comfortable and warm, and the perfect spot to grab coffee with someone you love!
Next, we went to Graveface Records, which is right around the corner from Back In The Day! Sam is a music junkie, so this was the perfect little spot to go. Graveface has a huge selection of records and oddities. When shooting a lifestyle engagement shoot, I love to pick cozy and intimate spots that really show off the couple. So I had them pick two of their favorite records to show, so Preslie held Sam’s (Nirvana) and Sam held Preslie’s (Modest Mouse)! Preslie loves Sam’s passion for music, as well as his humbleness and resiliency through life. All are such incredible things to have in a partner!
After a quick outfit change we walked over to Forsyth Park for some more formal pictures. I love being able to capture two sides of the couple – the casual and the more formal! This way a couple has plenty of styles to choose from for Save The Dates, or to give to family. Preslie looked amazing in her forest green dress! We sat in front of some of the iconic row townhomes in downtown Savannah, and even got a few shots right on the steps!
This week, I get to shoot their wedding in Greene Square and reception at Cha Bella! Cha Bella is one of the cutest
