As a Savannah wedding photographer, I love capturing celebrations that feel deeply personal and intentional, and this day was no exception.
When two people meet in the most classic way (in a bar) and end up sharing a life full of good food, laughter, and adventure, you know their wedding is going to be something special. Emma and Aaron’s intimate wedding at The Grey in Savannah was exactly that. It was effortlessly elegant, full of personality, and a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple.
Emma and Aaron met in Atlanta, the old-fashioned way, at a bar. What was meant to be a casual night out turned into a connection that kept them out until closing time… three different times! That night foreshadowed one of their favorite things to do together which is exploring new restaurants and enjoying the city’s nightlife.
Emma, a SCAD fashion design alumna, has an incredible sense of style (something we share. Go Bees!). She’s also friends with one of my past brides, Reilly, who she met while both were working at Sid Mashburn in Atlanta. (You can see Reilly and Alex’s wedding here!) It’s always such a joy photographing friends of past clients. There’s a special trust and creative synergy that makes the day flow so beautifully.
Their ceremony took place in a charming garden, a nod to their shared love of nature and being outdoors. Surrounded by greenery and the gentle hum of the city, Emma and Aaron exchanged vows that were heartfelt and personal. It was everything the bride had envisioned: “easy, seamless, and fun.”
When Emma first told me their reception would be at The Grey, I was so excited. The restaurant, set in a beautifully restored 1938 Greyhound bus terminal, is one of Savannah’s most unique venues. I’ve really enjoyed my experience as a Savannah Wedding Photographer at The Grey.
Inside, the atmosphere was intimate and chic. Long tables were set with elegant details that felt warm, not overly formal — just as Emma had hoped. The space glowed with candlelight as guests enjoyed cocktails and a curated menu of The Grey’s signature dishes. Every bite and every toast reflected the couple’s shared love of dining and connection.
Photographing this day was such a joy — not only because of the stunning design and venues, but because of the energy and warmth that radiated from every moment. It was a true celebration of love, style, and the beauty of keeping things genuine.

If you’re dreaming of a celebration that’s both stylish and personal, Savannah offers so many incredible venues — from gardens to historic restaurants like The Grey. As a Savannah wedding photographer, I’d love to help you capture your story in a way that feels authentic, timeless, and uniquely you.
