I just love how many smaller cities around the country are jumping on the New York Fashion Week bandwagon and offering versions of their own. I’ve been busy shooting for Savannah Fashion Week which happens later this month and last month I had the ultimate pleasure of attending the Zang Toi fashion show at The Cloister for Sea Island Fashion Week! Evelyn Talman hosted the runway show as a benefit for the Coastal Symphony of Georgia and The Cloister Collection included a Zang Toi trunk show the following week as part of the fashion extravaganza.
A huge thank to you Ally Urquhart at The Cloister Collection and Stephanie Dasher of Savannah’s fashion blog, Life on the Squares for having me come out to photograph the event. It was an incredible show!
All of Zang Toi‘s runway shows begin and finish with a performance so while waiting in anticipation of the first looks, guests were serenaded by a violinist.
Most of the looks presented are part of Toi’s Spring 2014 Collection, “Ballet Babe” and feature amazing details of tulle, embellishments, pastels and this amazing bold print. You may have guessed that this blush pink dress on the right was my clear favorite. NEEEEEEEEED.The show literally stopped with this stunning show stopper of a gown with baby blue ruffled tulle. We were then treated to a ballet performance and a champagne reception in the The Cloister.
