We’ve been loving sharing the upcoming 2022 wedding trends with you! We’ve had the chance to talk about bridal bouquets and wedding gowns. Now, it’s time for wedding tablescapes! Anna Swanson of Swanson Signature Design did an amazing job pulling together these table settings for our shoot. Swanson sent us some info about how they pulled the tablescapes together, so we’re going to share that today. We focused on five different styles that we think will show up in 2022.
The first tablescape uses earth tones that brought about a romantic vibe. The linen was Tradd Sage from Stradley Davidson, paired with wooden X-back chairs, driftwood chargers, Magnolia china, and gold flatware. The dinner napkins were a merlot poly-cotton blend in a waterfall fold. Pink vintage glassware dotted the table and was the perfect accompaniment to the pink taper candles. A pale, succulent colored cheesecloth runner helped to soften the look even more.
For the second wedding tablescape, we are seeing lots of requests for blue and white in 2022. Blue and white will also be a classic look with its deep, rich tones, but clean linens. You can never go wrong! For linens, we chose Parham Navy from Stradley Davidson paired with a white polyester dinner napkin in a horizontal fold with a menu card on top. Blue and silver pair nicely, so we selected a glass charger with a silver beaded edge, heirloom china, and a bone stiletto flatware collection to tie it all together. The traditional crystal glassware was the perfect touch!
Another trend that we believe to be prevalent in 2022 is a minimalist look. Baby’s Breath is making a comeback in florals, and while it can be a bit traditional, it can also be used in a modern minimalist look. So, we wanted to showcase it as a modern look. We added in some white orchids and created a centerpiece of only these two blooms. The table was adorned with the Chance Shimmer linen from Stradley Davidson, glass gold chargers, heirloom china, clear vintage glassware, and Arezzo gold flatware all from Eventworks. White napkins were folded in a vertical fold under the salad plate with a vertical menu card and sliced wooden place cards on top.
The fourth tablescape included a bit of whimsy because we believe color is coming back in style! The linen was Ascot Garden from Stradley Davidson paired with square marigold napkins tied in a knot at each place setting. Handwritten, acrylic place cards marked the guests’ seat assignments. The Napoleon gold chairs with white pads, gold glass chargers, heirloom china, Arezzo flatware, and crystal glassware posed no threat as the protagonist which allowed the cozy patterned linens and florals to take centerstage here for an extra loud pop!
The fifth and final wedding tablescape we produced was all about sustainability. Given that the venue is a working agricultural farm, and there is a huge shift in the floral industry about using sustainable products, we want to showcase a table we affectionately named “Sustainability.” We used an Edison farm table with driftwood X-back chairs, glass chargers with a silver beaded rim, Magnolia china, Falmouth silver flatware collection, and clear vintage water goblets paired with sleek wine glasses and Smith Lagoon dinner napkins in a triangular fold with the menu card on top.
It’s been so much fun getting to share all of these 2022 wedding trends with you, including these wedding tablescapes. I loved being able to shoot all of these different designs and showcase each style. If you’re planning your own upcoming wedding, I’d love to hear all about it! Say hello, so we can schedule a call!
