As an Athens Senior photographer, I love to be able to shoot so many of life’s moments. Sometimes that means I get to shoot engagements and weddings. Other times, it’s senior and family sessions! Molly is a sweet high school senior who wanted to take advantage of her family’s trip to the beach to do her senior session.

It was so much fun -from her bold red dress to the sunset portraits. I know that as a senior, senior sessions are an essential part of your last year of high school. But, I also know it can be overwhelming! This might be your first time in front of a professional’s camera. So, to help make this time easier (and more fun!) Choose Two Main Outfits

When picking your outfit, I recommend having two looks. This way you can get one that’s more formal, another more casual. I also recommend choosing clothing with movement! Molly wore a gorgeous red dress, that billowed in the wind and made for some pretty incredible portraits. It also gives you something to do with your hands! Plus, it adds such a touch of whimsy.

When it comes to the outfit, solids are the best choice. Patterns can be too busy! Solids photograph the best and create a timeless element. Also, avoid overly trendy items. But accessorize! Bring your favorite hat or fun sunglasses. Anything to show off your personality! If you’re feeling stressed out – no worries. I offer a client closet with many gorgeous options to choose from for all sizes (and this is INCLUDED with your session!).

Choose A Location That Reflects Your Interests

Senior sessions don’t have to just be in studios! While I have an incredible studio where we can capture your Athens senior photos, there are tons of other locations to choose from. A lot of my clients prefer shooting at a location that reflects their interests or passions. For example, if you’re on the soccer team, we can shoot at your high school field.
