I am so incredibly excited to share these bridal portraits in Savannah! I absolutely love capturing a bride before her wedding day and being able to take that extra time to capture portraits. Not only does it let you get a test run of your hair and makeup, but it also lets you get rid of those pre-wedding jitters. You are able to relax a little bit more, and just feel beautiful.
Ashley and her Fiancé decided to elope in New Zealand, but she wanted to make sure she could get bridal portraits before they left. Her vision was a bridal session that showcased Savannah’s romance and beautiful architecture. She wanted some more editorial shots, as well as some detail images of her and her gown. I love mixing fashion editorial shots, with more organic movement.
First, we took portraits around Downtown Savannah. We started at this beautiful home on Gaston Street, steps away from Forsyth Park. It is one of my favorite homes to photograph in front of! It features beautiful greenery all over, with an amazing staircase. We made sure to create lots of movement with her cathedral veil, which turned out to be some of my favorite shots.
Ivory and Beau created the most stunning bouquet, filled with orchids, eucalyptus, roses, and ranunculus. It was such a dream! It was the perfect complement to her lace gown, that had so much detail. Her hair was done in soft waves, with a loose braid, and fresh flowers.
Next, we went to Wormsloe to capture some images closer to sunset. Wormsloe makes the perfect southern backdrop, filled with oak trees and Spanish moss. We were able to get pictures not just on the road, but closer to the marsh, as well. I can’t wait to see pictures from her New Zealand wedding, soon!
