Ashley & Travis – The Marshall House Wedding

I can never say it enough.  I love my job and I love my clients.  I don’t know how I keep lucking out.  Ashley and Travis are awesome, totally chill, totally cool people that are so in love.  It’s fabulous being around them and their family because their happiness just rubs off on you and you can’t help but have a great time.  This wedding was a perfect reflection of them – traditional with lots of special fun touches that ensured their personalities shown through and that their guests had a blast.

The day started at The Marshall House, which always lends itself to lovely getting ready photos.  I loved the custom yellow Chuck Taylors.

Ashley and Travis chose to keep with tradition and waited to see each other at the ceremony.  However, they couldn’t resist being able to squeeze each other’s hand before walking down the aisle.  Love it.Martin has been taking on more and more shooting responsibilities and I am so proud of the images he captures.  Love this one of Ashley and her dad.Ceremonies get me every time.  This one was no exception.  Emotions were high and tears flowed freely as Ashley and Travis read their own personalized vows.They included a hand tying ceremony, which I loved.I love it when couples allow me ample time on their wedding day for portraits – it allows me to really take advantage of Savannah’s lovely scenery!Afterwards, the party started at 45 Bistro.Ashley and Travis planned an elaborate surprise first dance to a mash up of their favorite songs.  It was pretty hilarious.DJ Shawn Hall kept everyone dancing!They thought of lots of funny activities to keep the reception going and give their guests things to do.  One of which was this “game.”  Since their household is divided, Ashley and Travis had guests place money in the two opposing teams’ plates.  Whoever had the most money had to take the cake in the face!They had a pretty hysterical and a little bit humiliating (which always equals fun!) dance prepared for the guys…..….and of course one for the girls.  This was my favorite part.  SO FUNNY!  And makes for pretty great photos too!Ashley and Travis – THANK YOU SO MUCH for having us on your wedding day!  We had so much fun with y’all and your wonderful families!
