Kelly and Michael live in Tampa, but their daughter suggested Sea Island for their wedding. She had visited it before and thought it was perfect for them! Kelly and Michael have three children between them – she has a daughter, and he has two sons. It was so sweet to see the full family together for Kelly and Michael’s gorgeous wedding at The Cloister Chapel! This is one of my favorite venues in Georgia, since it is elegant, with a touch of Southern charm. And those water views are unforgettable! The sunsets are some of the best in the country.
Kelly wanted a chic and sophisticated wedding that had a focus on gorgeous flowers and soft pattern details. Her bridal party wore soft blush chiffon gowns, but her maid of honor wore a floral dress. I love when the maid of honor gets to wear something different!
The soft blush color palette carried into the ceremony, with the handrails covered in flowers, and floral garlands draped behind them. The reception space was so elegant too. The crystal chandeliers added a soft glow, while the windows let guests experience the gorgeous sunset. The soft white and blush flowers added to the lush centerpieces, and the dozens of candles on each table made the night feel formal and sweet, all at the same time.
Their ceremony took place in The Cloister Chapel, which is the sweetest venue on Sea Island. It is a storybook chapel with heart pine pews and stained glass windows. The ivy growing around the building makes it look right out of a fairytale! The Vine did an amazing job making the ceremony space even more beautiful with their flower creations.
The reception took place in the formal Clubroom ballroom, which was perfect for the chic look Kelly was going for. Everyone had so much fun dancing the night away, and the night ended with a sparkler sendoff, which is always so much fun!
I absolutely love working on Sea Island. It’s always a joy, and the weddings are always beautiful! Kelly and Michael’s wedding at The Cloister Chapel was no exception, and I’m so happy I got to work with them. If you’re working on your own wedding in the Savannah area, I’d love to hear from you!
