Classic Spring Wedding at Whitefield Chapel and Garibalid’s

Katherine May and Josh are the absolute sweetest couple, and their Spring wedding at Whitefield Chapel was so beautiful. One of the cutest moments from the wedding was their First Touch. Rather than a First Look, they opted to stay hidden and hold hands instead of seeing each other. It was so sweet! There was a first look with her father though before they drove to the ceremony together in a classic car. This wedding was just full of adorable moments.

Spring Wedding at Whitefield Chapel

Whitefield Chapel is on Bethesda Academy’s grounds, and it is truly a historic chapel since it was finished in 1925. It’s under these gorgeous oaks that we definitely took advantage of for pictures! The interior is also beautiful with these original chandeliers and large picture windows. Katherine May and Josh had such a picturesque ceremony, including a tea ceremony since Katherine May’s mother’s family is from Japan.

After the ceremony, they dug up the bourbon they had buried in a big pretty pot. This classic southern tradition is meant to keep the rain away, and it’s always fun!

Wedding Reception at Garibaldi’s

After their wedding at Whitefield Chapel, Katherine May showed Josh her journal, including the entries about the day they met, their first date, and the day he proposed! After, we stopped by Forsyth Park for some more bride and groom portraits before heading to Garibaldi’s, a meaningful spot for the bride and groom.

Their reception décor was just beautiful. Katherine May has a blue bunny trinket dish that was a gift from Josh, and they carried the blue chintz pattern from the trinket dish throughout the wedding. I just love how it tied everything together!
