Leslie and Brad are two cutie creatives in Savannah. You may recognize them from the local scene as well as some of my past styled shoots. They love to model. Brad is a craft cocktail guru at Local 11 Ten. And Leslie is also a member of the Daniel Reed Hospitality team, coordinating events at Soho South Café. You can also find them frolicking about town, enjoying Savannah’s offerings. Most importantly, together, they own Relish Savannah – a design company that offers hand beaded accessories and home decor created from salvaged materials – all inspired by their worldly travels. If you aren’t familiar, check them out, they’re pretty freaking amazing.
When Leslie was planning her wedding, she reached out to me to be her photographer. I had a girl crush on Leslie and desperately wanted to be her friend. I immediately did a happy dance throughout my house, until I came back to my computer to realize I was already booked for her date. I think we both cried a little that day. But the good news is, we became friends.
Naturally, when the time came last year to celebrate their anniversary, we got together for a dreamy driftwood beach anniversary session on magical Jekyll Island. Leslie, with her pastel blue hair, was literally a mermaid. She wore a custom gown by her bestie, April Johnston, a former contestant on Project Runway and mastermind behind Mangled Courtesan. She now designs for Urban Outfitters. Brad wears the beaded bowtie from their wedding – just a sample of the intricate creations from Relish Savannah.
I’m so happy to have gotten to know this sweet and crazy talented couple. They entertain my crazy ideas of buying a Spanish village and dream of a life of wanderlust as I do. A bazillion days of adventure and bliss, my sweets!
