Elevated Autumn Wedding at Victory North

If you want a fall wedding in Savannah filled with autumn-inspired hues (and lots of gold!), you will love Yumei and Steven’s wedding! You might remember these two from their UGA Engagement Session. They have been together since 2012, and a decade later got to celebrate in front of their family and friends and finally say I do! Hannah, our associate photographer, was there to capture it all.

The couple are Savannah natives, so they wanted their wedding to celebrate their hometown while also adding some glamour. Yumei chose the Broady ballgown by Wtoo, which set the tone for the whole theme. Her dramatic mikado gown was timeless and elegant, and her cathedral-length lace veil added a soft touch of texture. Their wedding party was sophisticated, with the guys in black tuxedos and the ladies in champagne satin dresses. 

The couple chose not to have a first look before their ceremony at the Cathedral Basilica of St.John the Baptist. You could see how much Steven loves Yumei as she walked down the aisle – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! After their ceremony, we walked around downtown Savannah for portraits as guests headed to the reception at Victory North. They wanted a classic car for pictures and chose a 1953 Packard 200 from Callan’s Classics. I just love when my couples get a classic car! Not only does it make for fun portraits, but it also lets you ride to your reception in style.

Party Reception at Victory North

The couple wanted a dance-filled reception, and their venue, Victory North, was the perfect spot. This venue is in the Starland District, with indoor and outdoor spaces for weddings of all sizes. Ivory & Beau took their color inspiration and turned it into stunning bouquets and centerpieces. Yumei’s bouquet was filled with burgundy dahlias, ranunculus, Queen Anne’s lace, Italian Ruscus, and dozens of roses.

One of the focal points of the reception was their cake by Vanilla And The Bean! They chose a four-tier cake with gold-painted edges and handmade sugar flowers added for pops of red. Vanilla And The Bean always make the most incredible cakes that are gorgeous and taste delicious! 

After a quick outfit change into a mini dress covered in sequin fringe, the couple hit the dance floor and enjoyed their night celebrating. I love being part of our couple’s lives, from engagements to weddings!
