Fun Engagement Session in Downtown Savannah

Erin and Jason met through their gym and a mutual friend who recommended they partner up for an upcoming CrossFit competition. As soon as Erin saw him, she had a feeling they would be a great fit together. After a few years together, they got engaged at Destin Beach while on vacation. While Jason insists he blacked out, Erin told me that they went out for a sunrise walk on the beach and he proposed right as the sun rose over the ocean. In her words, it was “perfect and sweet!”

They love working out, biking, and binge-watching Netflix together, and they’re just so authentic and clearly in love. One of Erin’s favorite things is how much Jason cares about her son, Owen. He is kind, authentic, and quirky in a way that keeps her on her toes – which you can see in their engagement session when he swopped her up! Their engagement session in Downtown Savannah was so much fun, and I loved walking around Savannah with them!

We went to a few different locations for Erin and Jason’s engagement session. The best thing about an engagement session in Downtown Savannah is there are so many great places for photos! So, I took Erin and Jason to some of my favorite spots.

Starting at the Olde Pink House, we got some fun and classic photos in front of the outside walls. You know I love pink, and the Olde Pink House is always the perfect backdrop! Erin and Jason’s blue outfits also popped perfectly against the pink too.

After the Olde Pink House, we headed to SCAD’s Ruskin Hall. This used to be an old hospital that SCAD renovated, and now it’s full of classrooms. It’s been completely updated, but it was originally built in 1819. This building has an amazing sense of both charm and grandeur, and I love photographing my couples there!

Finally, we headed over to Johnson Square. Johnson Square is the oldest and largest square in Savannah, making it the perfect place for an engagement session. It has several different areas with different types of backgrounds. The gorgeous trees and greenery are always good for photoshoots.

Engagement sessions are a great way for me to get to know my couples before their wedding, and after this Downtown Savannah engagement session, I know the wedding is going to be amazing! Erin and Jason’s wedding is this November at Ships of the Sea. They’re hoping for a low-key happy celebration of love and family, and I can’t wait to join them!
