Family Session in The Landings, Savannah

As a photographer, I am not just here to take pictures. I am here to be a preserver of stories and a memory maker! There are so many milestones that are irreplaceable and should be captured for you to cherish for years to come. That is why I value family sessions so much! As your family grows, and your kids grow up, it’s so important to document every little step.

I recently got to do a family session for my sweet friends, Jill and Eric. This couple used to be our neighbors back in 2012 when we moved home from Spain. We were living with Martin’s parents, and really connected! Over the years, they have started their own family and moved out to the Landings. This area is outside of Savannah, and is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the South! Located on Skidaway Island, this area is filled with incredible oaks and magnolia trees.

With such a gorgeous backdrop, we really just had fun walking around and capturing the family interacting together. Delegal Creek runs in the background, so we also got some shots of the coastal marsh. Their two daughters had so much fun running around and dancing! My favorite moments are the ones that are unposed, and just let the kids have fun and play. 

We are booking family sessions in 2021, so reach out today! Hannah, my associate photographer, is taking sessions for May – June, and I will be shooting sessions later in the summer starting in July. After being cooped inside for a year, this is the perfect time to get some family portraits! We can walk around outside, and really let everyone relax and play.
