Fort Pulaski Engagement Session

Ashley works for First City Events, so I was super honored when she reached out to me and chose me for her wedding photography. She is such a bundle of joyous laughter, and her fiancé, Davis, is great too! I loved every minute of their Fort Pulaski engagement session.

Choosing an At-Home Engagement Session

Davis built their home, so it’s definitely a labor of love! The best part is that it’s where their wedding will be next year! This means it was so special to begin there and explore the grounds of their upcoming wedding. Plus, it meant we could get some shots with the pups! After all, they are part of the family! These dogs behaved so well for the camera, and the photos came out amazing!

When picking an engagement spot, don’t forget your own home! I love doing at-home sessions, both inside and outside. It’s so great to be able to see couples relaxed and in their own environment. We can get more intimate shots and really have some fun. I have some great tips for preparing for your session!

Fort Pulaski Engagement Session

We finished Ashley and Davis’s session at Fort Pulaski. The Fort is outside of Savannah, on your way out to Tybee Island. Built in the 1830s, much of the building has been untouched. The grounds are incredible with gorgeous marsh views and large oak trees. The old brick walls made an amazing backdrop too! We just walked around and had fun. Ashley and Davis were so sweet and clearly love to laugh together.

I just love having the opportunity to get to know my couples through their engagement session before their wedding. Even though I already knew Ashley, it was still great to be able to get to know her and Davis as a couple. Their Fort Pulaski engagement session came out beautifully, and I just can’t wait for their wedding!
