Gerica & Aaron – a DIY Brunch wedding – Nashville, TN

What a special wedding this was for me to photograph!  Back in 2007-2009, when we lived in Knoxville, TN and when I was really falling in love with wedding photography, I worked at the College of Business at UT and Miss Gerica was one of my student workers.  THE SWEETEST GIRL EVER, she was a big supporter of my photography from the beginning and she told me time and time again – “Izzy, whenever it is that I find that guy and I get married, I want YOU to photograph my wedding!”  Isn’t she darling?  Well, years later, thanks to facebook, I started to see this boy pop up in her feed – THE SWEETEST BOY EVER – Aaron was clearly the guy for her!  I am so extremely thankful and honored that they chose me to document their sweet sweet DIY wedding complete with yummy brunch reception in Nashville, TN. (I mean, y’all know I love a good road trip!)

Fellowship Bible Church has such beautiful grounds & a really fab barn type reception hall so I was super happy that Gerica & Aaron decided to utilize these spaces!

I just love this “First Look” moment between Gerica and her dad, you really can’t get more sweeter :)

Guests enjoyed a biscuit bar and a french toast cake for breakfast!

After their brunch reception, the wedding party and I headed to downtown Nashville to do more photos at LP Field, which I especially loved because they brought along Chaco, their pup!
