I am so excited to share this Cancun destination wedding with you! Not only was this wedding so gorgeous, in such a great location, but the bride is my associate photographer, Hannah! You might remember these two from their Providence Canyon engagement shoot. This is one of the coolest hidden gems in Georgia! This fun couple are high school sweethearts, and after 4 years of long-distance, they are finally together under one roof.
Hannah and Jarrod wanted a fun and relaxed wedding. They even encouraged their guests to wear bright colors! And I just love everything colorful, so this was a dream to shoot. They chose Moon Palace Cancun, an all-inclusive resort on the beach. This resort was so incredible! Guests were able to relax, and enjoy their time.
Hannah and her friends got ready in the most beautiful suite, with stunning views. All the girls wore matching tropical pajamas, which was so cute! Hannah wore a lace sheath gown by Martina Liana, from Bleubelle Bridal. She is a shorty, and her incredible Badly Mischka heels were a show stopper! They had sparkle and beaded fringe – I loved them! Jarrod wore a cobalt blue suit, with a hot pink tie and orange boutonniere to match Hannah’s tropical bouquet.
Before their ceremony, we did their first look on the beautiful grounds. I was able to get a cool spot above them, which made for such a fun shot! Their reactions were perfect, too. This couple is so funny, and just laughed the whole day! The ceremony took place oceanfront, in an all-glass gazebo. It was so unique! One of the funnest touches were their grandmas – they were the flower girls! The two ladies had so much fun sprinkle flowers around and wore brightly colored floral dresses.
My favorite shot of the day was of Hannah and her dad, having a sweet moment before she walked down the aisle. As a photographer, I know that all of the emotions and nerves might hit you right before you walk down the aisle! Don’t forget to turn to your dad to share a little moment, just the two of you. Chances are, you’ll burst into a huge smile, and all your nerves will melt away!
Their reception took place in a large open air space, that was filled with tropical touches. The centerpieces had large palm leaves, with orange flowers. There were so many fun flowers, like king protea, brides of paradise, and peonies. They even had a cool donut wall that had bright colors and palm leaves! To tie into the destination wedding feel, their guestbook was a giant passport. The guests had so much fun, and danced the night away! And the best part? They woke up to a gorgeous sunrise right on the ocean. It doesn’t get much better than that! Congratulations, Hannah and Jarrod!
