Gorgeous Home Family Session on Sea Island

The Moore family session on Sea Island turned out beautifully, and I love how everything came together! The Moore Family calls Tennessee home, but they also have a charming second place on Sea Island. A client of mine, whose family I photograph twice a year, suggested that Katie contact me.

She was drawn to the playful, candid lifestyle sessions I created for them and wanted something similar for her family. Showcasing the bonds between her family and the kids was important to her.

Signature Family Session On Sea Island

This was the perfect family session because it combined two of my favorite things: signature family sessions and an in-home lifestyle session! This family session on Sea Island was about allowing kids to be themselves and get silly. We don’t want anything too posed.

Usually, these sessions are at home or in a favorite location (like the beach or park). However, the Moores offered their second home on Sea Island, Georgia, as the location, and I happily accepted!

Wrapping It Up

I loved Sea Island family photography sessions. We started at their stunning marsh front house. I first got some shots of the kids just lounging around their home, and then we went outside for some fun! The kids played around and chased each other while I captured it. This family has so much fun together! We also got some shots at the beach, and the beautiful background was perfect for photographing this gorgeous family.

One of my favorite spots to photograph families is in their homes. You can capture so many more candid moments! Everyone is more comfortable at home, and the family can interact together. This is especially great for kids, who sometimes feel silly in front of the camera. The kids get more relaxed when you start the session in your own home! When photographing families, I want to capture the kids in their natural element – their goofy laughs, big smiles, and all!
