While I love weddings of all sizes, there is something so special about intimate weddings in Savannah. It is the perfect city for small weddings since you can easily have guests walk or take a trolley around town, and let them really explore how beautiful Downtown Savannah is. Whitney and Michael had the most picturesque Summer wedding at Columbia Square!
The couple chose to get ready and stay at The Kehoe House in Downtown Savannah. This bed and breakfast is one of the most popular in Savannah and is often a stop on the trolley tours. Their bright rooms with large windows, and large front porches, make it a perfect spot for getting ready!
Whitney wore a gorgeous gown by Lillian West. It was a tulle gown with soft lace cascading from the bodice, and soft beading for a little bit of sparkle. Her hair was absolutely stunning! She chose a soft braid, with fresh flowers throughout. It was whimsical and romantic, and one of the favorites I have ever photographed. I am a believer that your wedding day should be perfectly you. So if that means flowers in your hair or handwritten vows, I am all for it!
The Kehoe House is right on Columbia Square, where they had their ceremony. This square is tucked in the east side of Historic Savannah and is often a little less busy with tourists walking around. It makes the perfect elopement or intimate wedding square! One important thing to consider when planning your Historic Savannah wedding is how crowded the squares are. While they are gorgeous for ceremonies or pictures, the more centrally located, the more crowded they will be. That is why I love squares like Columbia or Troup Square, which are a little less busy.
After a ride around downtown in an iconic trolley, guests went to dinner at Vics On The River. This restaurant is one of the best in Savannah, and they have multiple spaces for events of all sizes. Located overlooking the Savannah River, guests always love the sunset views and watching the ships roll by. Every little detail of this wedding was so sweet to photograph. Congratulations, Whitney and Michael!
