Janet and William had to postpone their wedding due to Covid, but they kept their original wedding date. They had a little Atlanta backyard elopement, and it was so sweet. They had the ceremony in his dad’s backyard under a big, beautiful tree, surrounded by his family and a few of their closest friends. It was such a wonderful day.
Though I knew Janet previously, we reconnected when she ended up being one of the chiropractors who treated me during my pregnancy. I met William through her, and I ended up doing their engagement photos too! She and William really suit each other. They both love all kinds of games from card games to video games to board games. They’re a little nerdy and a lot delightful.
Janet and William kept taking moments to touch foreheads and really take each other in all day. They did this during their first look, and it made for a special photo. They also did this before and after their first kiss, and it was one of my favorite moments! I loved that they did their first dance after the ceremony with all of their guests holding sparklers around them. William loves ballroom dancing, so their first dance was so much fun!
After their cute ceremony, dinner was held at his mom’s house. They had tons of ice cream from William’s business, Yom, which is I thought was a cute detail!
You can just tell from the photos how happy they are. Their love is just so obvious, and it’s always a joy to shoot couples who are so clearly in love. Their Atlanta backyard elopement was just perfect.
This adorable couple is planning a bigger wedding for this month, but I wanted to celebrate their elopement! I would love to celebrate yours too! If you’re planning your own elopement, it would be great to hear from you.
