Jessica & Ryan – Athens Engagement Shoot at Hurricane Shoals

Jessica and Ryan were so sweet to photograph! They won an engagement session, and I am so glad I got to be their engagement photographer. The shoot took place at Hurricane Shoals in Athens, Georgia. If you are not familiar with Athens, this is a must see! Hurricane Shoals park features multiple pavilions, a former corn mill, and even a chapel! You can get married at the Miles Wilson Matthews chapel right in the park. This cute chapel was built in 1891, and is perfect for intimate ceremony’s. The North Oconee River runs right through it, which made for a beautiful backdrop.

I love when couples incorporate their pets! Jessica and Ryan brought along their dog, which made for some adorable pictures.  I have done some other fun shoots with dogs, including Amanda and Dan’s engagement session.

Athens Wedding Photographer

Not only do I shoot weddings in Savannah and the Lowcountry, I also shoot weddings in Athens! (And Atlanta… and destination!) There are lots of beautiful places to get married in Athens. One of my favorites are the State Botanical Gardens at UGA. I photographed a wedding at the State Botanical Gardens at UGA last fall for my couple Jenna and David, and it was amazing! Another popular spot I have discovered as an Athens Wedding Photographer are the Founders Gardens in Athens, Georgia.
