I was so excited to shoot Maddie and Henry’s American Legion wedding! I have a long history with the family. Maddie’s mother is Lynn, the owner of the local antique rental company Lillian’s China. I’ve worked with her many times before, and several years ago, I actually shot Maddie’s sister’s wedding too! And of course, I worked with Maddie and Henry for their engagement session in Inman Park. It was so great to come back and work with them again.
Maddie loves all things vintage, and her dress matched her style. She wore a classic gown by Whispers and Echoes from BHLDN along with full-length gloves. Her gown had a bateau neckline that was stunning on her! It worked perfectly with the satin bodice and lace on the bottom. The full-length gloves just completed the picture.
Her bouquet featured a lot of greenery, roses, and ranunculus of different shades of blush, burgundy, yellow, and blue. There were a lot of cool, modern details in her American Legion wedding that matched her beautiful bouquet. They had hexagon tiles for place cards and a hanging greenery installation above the head table. Overall, the wedding had a fresh and edgy vibe.
Maddie’s sister, Amelia, also got married at The American Legion, and Maddie worked to make sure her wedding looked completely different. She wanted her wedding to have a different feeling and truly represent her more eclectic style. Along with Audrey of The King’s Cottage, she chose bold, vivid colors and a curated selection of mostly blue’s out of her mother’s collection.
When it came to their tables, they chose to have navy linens for the long tables and soft blue for the circle tables. Gold and black Chiavari chairs added to the other gold accents throughout the décor, like the gold table numbers and centerpieces. Not to mention, the head table featured the most incredible centerpiece with lush greenery and single-stemmed flowers hanging from glass vases. It was such a showstopper! Guests were just in awe.
Above all, this American Legion wedding was just gorgeous, and it was such a joy to shoot this beautiful couple again. I wish them (and their lovely family) all the best!
