One of the biggest joys of being a wedding photographer is being able to photograph multiple members of the same family! I have known Maddie, and her family, for years now. Maddie’s mom owns Lillian’s Vintage China Rentals, the premier vintage china rental company in Savannah. Back in 2013, I photographed her sisters wedding, and this January I will be photographing Maddie’s! Her sister, Amelia, got married March 2013, at American Legion, and was the start of Lillian’s China. Amelia wanted her wedding to have a garden feel indoors, so her sweet mother began to scour thrift stores for the perfect pieces. Now, they have hundreds of place settings for your wedding day!
Maddie and Henry met in college, and they have such a cute story! Henry was too nervous to ask Maddie out, so he pretended the cafeteria food was especially gross that day, and suggested to Maddie that they get some pizza instead. The two had such a great time, and still go back for a mediocre pizza slice when they are in town!
Next January, I get to photograph Maddie and Henry’s wedding at the American Legion, and it will kick off my 2020 wedding season! We took their engagement session photos around Atlanta, where the couple live. First, we stopped at one of their favorite spots to eat and hangout – The Bread And The Butterfly! This whimsical café and bistro is in the heart of Inman Park, and is so gorgeous! First, we started in a corner booth, with some drinks. One of the couples favorite spots to hang out are café’s with excellent pastries!
We walked to Springvale Park, right in the middle of Inman Park. This sweet little park has a duck pond, a stone bridge, and lots of flowers! It was the perfect spot to get portraits of the couple. The couple are so stylish, and I just loved Maddie’s Anthropologie dress. It had tiers of chiffon with floral print and matched Henry’s gray and navy outfit. He even had a matching green polka dot pocket square! I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next year!
