Madison & Ben | Winter Wedding at Charles H Morris Center

If you love a winter inspired wedding, with a classic white and black color palette, you are going to love Madison and Ben’s wedding! This one was shot by our associate, Hannah, and has so many precious moments between the couple, and their family. Some of my favorite shots as a wedding photographer are the little quiet ones between my couples and their loved ones. When Madison got ready, she had her flower girl with her, who was just so cute! And Madison had a personalized handkerchief made for her father – there wasn’t a dry eye in the room! Madison is a self-proclaimed daddy’s girl, so I know this was extra meaningful for her.

The couple met while in college, when they were both dating other people. Madison was on the same equestrian team as Ben’s then-girlfriend. Fast-forward several years, and Madison messaged Ben on social media on New Years Day, to see how he was doing. Their first date took place in Boone, NC, and the two went on a hike with their dogs, and got sushi. Both say it was the best first date!

A winter wedding in Savannah

The couple chose Savannah since they both have family in North Carolina and Georgia. So Savannah was the perfect spot! Since Ben is in Medical School, they are not sure where they will be living next. So their wedding was the perfect opportunity to have everyone come together, and celebrate! Their ceremony took place at Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church, which was so beautiful with all of the Christmas decor that was setup. The couple didn’t have to do any decorating! One of my favorite shots of their day was their ceremony exit – the pure joy on their face is amazing!

They chose the Charles H Morris Center for their reception, which is one of my favorite venues in downtown Savannah. The team at Design Studio South and Kato Floral Design worked together to create the most stunning decor! Extra tall centerpieces allowed for the guests to talk and mingle, and the heatable was a large farm table so the whole bridal party could sit together.
