I love creative couples who are up for fun adventures! Kayla and Lindsey are one of the sweetest couples I’ve ever met. Their love was incredible to photograph! These two are also pretty badass, and they wanted a fun and unique spot for their engagement session. Naturally, a Bonaventure engagement session sounded perfect!
I’ve shot quite a few Bonaventure engagement sessions and weddings! They’re always beautiful and fun. I absolutely love shooting there, so I was glad for the chance to do another photoshoot at the beautiful cemetery! We started the session right on the marsh with the gorgeous sunset peeking through the Spanish moss. The trees there made for a beautiful backdrop and all the old gates really added a wonderful aesthetic to their pictures. Just all the greenery in Bonaventure is so lovely.
It was such a magical day. We strolled around the cemetery and found some beautiful spots to capture their wonderful relationship. They spent the whole shoot laughing, holding hands, and cuddling each other.
Then, Kayla wrote the sweetest message to Lindsey on Facebook (and gave me a little shoutout!). I’ve put it below just because I think it really matches the loving nature of their photos.
“It amazes me the way you have brought so much into my life that the same colors that I have known and seen my entire life now possess so much more beauty and more meaning. I’m beyond moved to spend my lifetime with you until every color has a new meaning. Maybe one day, I’ll have a new favorite color. Until then, all I want to do is enjoy all of the colors with you, every single freakin’ day. Thank you, Lindsey Michelle, for your yes because I unambiguously want to be your wife.
And huge props to Izzy Hudgins for being absolutely flawless at what she does from start to finish.”
I really do just love a good Bonaventure engagement session, and this shoot was no different! If you’re looking for your own engagement adventure, I hope you’ll reach out to me! I would love to help you create some wonderful memories that you can hang up in your home.
