May and Dario | Dudley Park Maternity Session

May and Darío are friends of ours in Athens! Darío is Spanish, and he’s in the same department as my husband, Martin, at UGA. May and Dario got married last year, and then they moved to Spain where they lived for a whole year! So jealous! They ended up coming home with an extra traveler – Alba June! Alba June was born recently, and I can’t wait to share her newborn photos on the blog soon. I got to take part in their Dudley Park maternity session, and it was so lovely.

Dudley Park Maternity Session

The couple chose Dudley Park in Athens, Georgia. It’s a short walk from the UGA campus, and it is so gorgeous. There are tons of trails, and there is a river running through it. Throughout the day, May wore two different dresses. For the first half, she wore a very cute fitted black dress! Then, she changed into a colorful flowy dress for some portraits. Dario looked classic and casual in his shirt and jeans.

I loved how the two were so happy and dancing the whole time! I was able to get some organic shots of the couple just having fun and enjoying being together. There were also some great backdrops in Dudley Park, including a brick wall that made for some beautiful pictures.

Connecting with Clients

Martin and I have met so many incredible people through his job here in Athens, and I love being able to photograph their life moments! I recently shot our friends Camila and Derek’s maternity session in Athens, who are also co-workers of Martin.

I just love being able to be part of my clients’ lives in so many ways! I’ve worked with some of my clients for many years, and I get to shoot all those important moments. From their engagement session to their wedding to maternity sessions to yearly family pictures, I get to be a part of it all. These milestones are irreplaceable, and these moments are gone in a blink of an eye. I have always cherished capturing these memories for my clients, but now that I am a mother myself, their importance carries an even deeper weight. Juan and Arlette are a perfect example of this! Their colorful maternity session was a joy to shoot.
