One of my favorite parts about living close to Atlanta as a wedding photographer is that there are so many incredible wedding venues here! And while there are some amazing luxury wedding venues in Atlanta, which I’ve written about before, I also love outdoor spaces. Many of my couples want a venue with a gorgeous outdoor ceremony and an indoor space for a reception (or a place to add a tent!). To help make the planning process easier, I wanted to share my top outdoor wedding venues in Atlanta! From gorgeous gardens to a unique industrial space, these are my favorites.
One of the best venues for an outdoor wedding in Atlanta is Cator Woolford Gardens. This hidden gem is in the heart of Druid Hills but sprawls across 39 acres, making it the perfect spot for engagement pictures and weddings. Built in the 1920s, it is designed to feel like an Italian garden, with multiple gardens spread out. There are many places to shoot, from the flowering trees to the endless pathways.
For their wedding, Janet and William chose the courtyard for their reception. This space is perfect for seated dinners or cocktail hours, and it also has a tented space for inclement weather.
Not only is this venue beautiful, but it also gives back to the community. All proceeds go directly to the Frazer Center, a program for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You can also see how gorgeous this space is for engagement sessions by viewing Lexi and Scott’s session!

If you are looking for a venue with both a unique outdoor space and a large indoor area for a reception, you will love Summerour Studio! This venue is located on the West Side of Atlanta, and you can see the area’s industrial roots come alive in this space. The restored printing warehouse, built in the 1920s, has a large open floor plan and over 8,000 square feet. Large windows bring in plenty of light, while the original wood barrel-vaulted ceiling adds warmth.
The courtyard is perfect for an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour. It is inspired by a Tuscan villa, and the open arch doors covered in vines add a European touch.

You are probably familiar with the Atlanta Botanical Gardens since it is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions! But it is also one of my favorite outdoor wedding venues in Atlanta. With eight unique outdoor areas, there are backdrops for every style. The Rose Garden is one of my favorite spots since colorful roses surround you, and I can smell the beautiful fragrance. For intimate elements, I love the Japanese Garden. Like all gardens, the flowers in bloom will vary throughout the year, but I’ve always found some beautiful backdrops no matter the season!

One of the impressive parts of The Inn At Serenbe isn’t the gorgeous grounds but the six areas you can choose from for your wedding! It allows couples to utilize multiple spaces and pick the backdrop that fits their vision. The outdoor areas include the Croquet Lawn, Guest House Lawn, Lake Pavilion, and The Meadow. They also have an indoor ballroom called the Oak Ballroom. My favorite is the open-air function room, an open field surrounded by woods.
This venue also offers smaller spaces inside the Inn, perfect for elopements or intimate weddings. You can enjoy a ceremony outdoors, with a reception on the glass porch and beautiful views of the grounds. You can also rent out rooms and stay on-site! For an intimate wedding, you can rent out all 27 rooms. Or, you can get ready in one of their many rooms on the morning of. They also have 15 miles of trails, waterfalls, a pool, a hot tub, and a croquet lawn, making it a great getaway spot for a wedding weekend.

Rooted in a rich history, Meadowlark 1939 is truly a work of art. The home has been family-owned since 1939 and has been carefully taken care of and restored. The main space is the Ingram House, which allows for indoor events and rehearsal dinners. This is also where the getting-ready suites are, which offer beautiful light. The prominent ceremony spot and the property’s focal point is the Pecan Circle.
The 150-pecan Tree makes a beautiful backdrop for a ceremony and can even be highlighted with draping flowers. You can easily tent in the area, and the Poolhouse Veranda allows guests to enjoy cocktail hour at the poolside, and the reception is just steps away. There is nothing more romantic than al-fresco dining under a cafe-lit tent!
