Sarah & Matthew | Gascoigne Bluff Park Engagement

I just love how Sarah and Matthew met. Sarah says that they were in a gym at church awkwardly crushing on each other, and Matthew got hit in the face with a football because he was trying to show off! They live in Houston, but Sarah grew up on St. Simon’s Island. They’re actually getting married on St. Simon’s at the Wesley United Methodist Church at Village Creek Landing this month! I did a Gascoigne Bluff Park engagement session with them, and it was so much fun.

Photo Shoot Outfit Changes

One of my favorite things about Sarah and Matthew’s shoot was that their outfit change. Many of my couples do this for their engagement session. You can have a casual outfit and a more formal outfit, just like Sarah and Matthew. The formal photos are great for save the dates and your parents while the casual outfit is great for friends and having a little more freedom in your photos.

When picking outfits, it’s important to consider where you’ll be having your photos taken! You might not have a place to change your clothes beyond your car or a local bathroom. Layering clothing pieces can be super helpful with this along with planning ahead.

Gascoigne Bluff Park Engagement Session

Gascoigne Bluff Park is just so lovely. It’s a park with a long history and many different beautiful backdrops. We definitely took advantage of the large, gorgeous trees and amazing pier. Each tree is just so unique, so we were able to get a variety of photos across the park. Plus, the photos by the water just came out so beautiful! Sarah and Matthew just had fun with their pictures. You can really tell that they just enjoy being together!
